Recently I was asked about Esther and the relevance to recent events and end time events, etc. This was an answer to an individual, but wanted to share for all...
xxxx,
It's good to hear from you.
You are right that Esther 3 is very significant and also very relevant. I believe it makes a great deal of sense that God would communicate this to you. Personal revelation is the most important of all. There is knowledge of the mind and also of the heart. Biblical study is mind knowledge, personal testimony is where the "seed" takes root (and yes God can use his word in a personal way, so that may not be mind knowledge, but rather heart...)
There are many things God has given me that he requires that I seek him over and over again for. He delights to create a hunger in us and wants our whole heart. "You will seek and find, when you seek with your whole heart." (Jeremiah 29:13)
After saying all this, I will try and help. Haman is a demonic symbol. Similar in type to antichrist and satan. I believe we are in that time. In chapter 3 Haman is given the king's signet ring. Notice too that Mordecai is asked by his peers why he disobeys and does not bow down to Haman. Haman has a long history all the way back to King Saul of enmity with the Jews.
This is similar to Christians, who Jews represent in Esther. In Esther there is no direct reference to God. Kind of like our secular society where God is rarely recognized. Notice too that these are Jews in a foreign land under foreign rule. Similar to true Christians in our world today. Like Hebrews 11 says "foreigners in a foreign land, looking for a city not of this world" (my summary). God as the King, has given satan (Haman) permission for a short while to persecute and give a death sentence of sorts to his "elect" (similar to Job, which gives us great insight into the Heavenly throne room). God does this to refine and test his elect, knowing that they will overcome and be redeemed, saved and elevated at the proper time. However, not without faith and perseverance. Notice the end of the story is that what Haman used to destroy the Jews ends up destroying himself and his family and also, at the same time, elevating Esther and Mordecai and the Jews are saved as well.
A recent news event caught my eye and I am following it. I believe that Sadaam Hussein is a "Haman type" and satan model. He was the dictator of what was old Babylon and also was reconstructing it. He was caught in a dark hole and looked like a satan type. There is a scripture that says we will behold satan and say "this is the man who terrified the nations..." What really caught my attention was when Sadaam and three of his men were sentenced to hang on the gallows. Wow! I believe his appeal will take place in early January.
Remember Esther had two feasts with the King and Haman. Kind of like one trial and a second one. Also, Esther was elevated to her Queen position by King Xerxes in the month of Tevet a/k/a Tebeth which is late December and into January our time. All these things coming together is not a coincidence. I very much am watching all these events. (if you've not seen the movie "One Night with the King" - I highly recommend it!).
I hope this helps.
Blessings,
Tony
